On January 14, 2017, Daviel Ruiz Gomez and Luis Rosales were stabbed at the China Blue nightclub in Boise. Daviel Ruiz Gomez, later succumbed to his wounds and passed away at a local hospital. Luis Rosales survived multiple stab wounds to his chest and torso. Jesus Manuel Garcia was arrested at the scene and later charged with Second Degree Murder, Aggravated Battery, Use of a Deadly Weapon during the Commission of a Crime and Possession of a Controlled Substance, Methamphetamine. On April 19, 2018, at the conclusion of an eight day jury trial, an Ada County jury convicted Garcia of all four counts. A sentencing hearing is scheduled before the Honorable Judge Michael Reardon on June 15, 2018 at 1:00pm.
