Diversion Program

Diversion is short-term case management program for youth and their families to voluntarily address an offense outside of the traditional Juvenile Court system. It is a collaborative and effective way to understand and prevent future delinquency without creating a formal court record.

How long does it take?

Diversion is typically completed in 90 days, although a youth may complete the program sooner if all terms are met. Alternately, the program may be extended if more time or services are needed to complete the terms.

What does it cost?

Diversion includes a $100 program fee and applicable restitution. Additional fees may be required for costs of participation depending on terms. Parents/guardians are responsible for all program costs if their child is younger than 18.
