Coroner Owens identified 69 year-old Elizabeth Boone as the victim of a gunshot wound to the head. According to reports, Elizabeth was transported from Meridian to Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center on November 12, 2018 after gunshots fired had been reported to 9-1-1. She was pronounced dead at the hospital at 3:06pm.
Coroner Owens identified 71 year-old Michael Clayton Boone as the victim of a self inflicted gunshot wound. According to reports, Michael Boone shot Elizabeth Boone and then turned the gun on himself.
This case is being investigated as a murder-suicide and is currently under investigation by the Meridian Police Department.
