Resources

Navigating the court system can be a daunting task. The information on this page is designed to make the process easier for you to manage. Please refer to our step by step instructions if you are unsure of the forms you need to fill out or the information that must be included for your case. This page also contains links to additional resources as well as contact information to help you prepare for court.

Please remember, the assistance you receive on this site is no substitute for legal advice. If you can, talk with an attorney.

E-File Instructions

As a self-represented litigant (someone filing without an attorney) you can either send your paperwork to the courthouse OR eFile (electronically file) your court documents from home. A self-represented person using this system of filing is generally required to e-file for the life of the case unless the court permits them to stop. Please read the Idaho Rules for Electronic Filing and Service on the Idaho Supreme Court website.

Learn how to E-file in 3 easy steps:
Step 1:

Watch a short video tutorial to learn how to create an iCourt Account.

Step 2:

Read simple instructions to start a new case  and watch the instructional video.

Step 3:

Watch a short video tutorial on how to File into an Existing Case
