Ada County Releases Initial Results of EXPO Idaho Survey

Majority of respondents want the Western Idaho Fair to stay at current location

86% of Ada County residents who took the EXPO Idaho survey say they want the Western Idaho Fair to remain in its current location. Survey respondents also asked for more natural spaces, and an expanded greenbelt on the EXPO Idaho property owned by Ada County. The survey will remain live until September 1, 2021, and can be found on the county’s webpage at Ada County Website

The survey was approved by the Ada County Board of Commissioners in an effort to hear directly from the public on the 247-acre property located at the intersection of State Highways 20 and 44 in unincorporated Ada County. The survey is meant to inform decisions made about the property and compliment the initial work of the EXPO Idaho Citizens Advisory Committee.  That committee was formed in February 2019 with the direction to create workable scenarios on how EXPO could look in the future.
