Public Hearing Notice

(Boise, ID) –The Board of Ada County Commissioners is holding a public hearing to discuss a proposed ordinance on E-bikes on Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at 6pm in the Public Hearing Room of the Ada County Courthouse | 200 W. Front Street, Boise, 83702.

The proposed ordinance would amend subsection E of title 2, chapter 2, section 6 of the Ada County code to regulate the operation of E-bikes on county property; amending subsection E and adding subsection F to title 2, chapter 2, section 10 to permit E-bikes with top speeds of 20mph on the greenbelt owned and managed by Ada County. E-bikes would be prohibited on foothills trails under Ada County management. A definition of “E-bike” and an amended definition of “motor vehicle” would be added to title 6, chapter 3, section 2. Subsection B of title 6, chapter 3, section 3 would be amended to restrict the use of E-bikes on private property.
