PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE

(Media Outlets: The following announcement is intended to help notify Ada County residents of proposed development applications that will soon appear before the Planning and Zoning Commission or the Ada County Board of Commissioners. We appreciate any help you can provide in notifying your audience of these projects and public hearing dates.)

The Board of Ada County Commissioners will hold a public hearing on June 5, 2019, at 6:00 p.m. in the Commissioners Main Hearing Room #1235, on the first floor, at 200 W. Front Street, Boise, ID to discuss: RECONSIDERATION OF 201802465 A, WHITE PETERSON LLP (Appeal of the Approval of Project No. 201802465 CU MSP): Testimony regarding specific alleged deficiencies in the Board’s decision to deny appeal Project No. 201802465-A following the Board’s March 6, 2019 public hearing. The applicant moved for reconsideration, identifying perceived deficiencies, and on May 1, 2019, the Board approved the request for reconsideration and scheduled a hearing to hear public testimony regarding the following six perceived deficiencies identified by the applicant:

1. Sufficiency of Notice of the January 10, 2019 P&Z Public Hearing 2. Ex Parte Communication at the March 6, 2019 Public Hearing 3. Clerical Error in Finding D-1 Citing Incorrect Township 4. Transportation 5. Undue Adverse Impacts on Surrounding Properties 6. Impediment to Normal Development

Testimony at the public hearing will be limited to information regarding the six alleged deficiencies in the Board’s decision identified by the applicant. The appeal arose out of the Board’s decision to approve a conditional use and master site plan application to operate a Pit, Mine or Quarry with rock crushing. The original application requested approval for a gravel pit with rock crushing that would occur over four phases that will take between 20 and 25 years to complete. The property contains 81.72 acres and is located on E. Blacks Creek Road approximately 2.6 miles east of the 84 Freeway in Section 25, T.2N R.3E.

Auxiliary aids or services for persons with disabilities are available upon request. Please call 208287-7900 or 208-287-7979 (TDD) by 5:00 p.m. prior to this public hearing so that arrangements can be made.
