How do I verify employment?
The law allows agencies three days to respond to requests for public information. At Ada County we make every attempt to respond more quickly than the law provides. By law we are allowed to release the following employee information:

Job Title / Position
Dates of Employment
Current Salary

We cannot provide or verify personal information such as: home address, home telephone number, or social security number.

To verify employment for a current employee:
Call Payroll at: (208) 287-6882
or Fax a Request for Verification to: (208) 287-6989
or Mail written requests to: 

Ada County Courthouse
Payroll Department
200 W. Front Street, Room 1193
Boise, Idaho 83702

Telephone requests for verification can often be provided at the time of the request. Written requests can often be fulfilled within one day of receipt.

To verify employment for a former employee:
Utilize the same procedures listed above, but be aware that older records are more difficult to access and consequently take more time to fulfill.

How do I apply for a position?

You can apply online by clicking here to view current openings.

If you are unable to apply online please contact 287-6991 for an alternative.

Do I have to submit an application for each job I am interested in?
Yes, the applications will go to different departments and offices.

How long before I will hear something on the status of my application?
The average time is 3 – 6 weeks. If you are selected for an interview the department will call you directly. If you are not chosen you will be notified by e-mail.

Is there a waiting list/interest card I can fill out for a job I am interested in?
